A wonderful depiction of a hunting scene of a master jumping a five bar gate set in a dark blue background. The haze affect gives the sense of the horse coming out of a cold January mist in to the painting.  Using white oil to pick out where the light hits the subject indicates to the viewer a great feeling of movement within the painting.
