SOPHIE HARDEN

Sophie is a professional artist based in Northamptonshire. Sophie's subjects hail from her passion and love for animals both domestic and wild. With travel in her blood, each trip evolves around the animals she discovers with regular trips to Africa to inspire her work. Her contemporary and fluid technique allows movement to flood the painting, from the explosive energy, to small brushstrokes that capture a moment in time.

 Often using a contrast of white oil on bright background colours, or a limited vibrant palette, Sophie works to accentuate the adaptation of light, making the viewer perceive the subject matter from often just small marks and brushstrokes.

Sophie has exhibited as a solo artist in the Osborne Studio Gallery, The Mall Galleries as a finalist for the Artist of the Year 2024 and for Art for Youth. She also hosts her own private exhibitions around the UK and in Kenya.
